Valerie Duff Strautmann is the author of To the New World (Salmon Poetry), shortlisted for the Seamus Heaney Poetry Prize in 2011. Her second book, Aquamarine, is forthcoming from Salmon in 2022. She has received awards and fellowships for her work from the MCC, the St. Botolph Foundation, the VCCA, and Writers’ Room of Boston.
